Hats Off For Veterans and Wimberly Counseling to Launch Monthly Virtual PTSD Support Meetings for Veterans
Starting January 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM (CST), Hats Off For Veterans (HOFV) and Wimberley Counseling Center are proud to announce the launch of Courage to Connect: Help for Veterans Navigating PTSD, monthly virtual meetings dedicated to supporting veterans dealing with the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). These virtual meetings will be hosted on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM (CST) via Zoom.
HOFV is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, resources, and recognition to military veterans. Established with the mission of honoring the sacrifices made by veterans and fostering community among them, HOFV offers a range of services aimed at improving the well-being and mental health of veterans. Through events, outreach programs, and partnerships with mental health professionals, HOFV commitment to veterans extends beyond providing resources; it actively seeks to build a strong support network, where veterans can feel safe, valued, and understood. This new monthly virtual support meeting is just one of the many initiatives designed to help veterans connect and heal together.
Facilitated by Murray Kast, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Veteran, this monthly virtual gathering will provide a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for veterans to connect with peers, share their experiences, and find strength in the community. The meetings are designed to foster open discussions, introduce coping strategies, and offer encouragement from those who truly understand the unique challenges of living with PTSD.
“The journey to healing can often feel isolating, but through these virtual meetings, we aim to create a space where veterans can share their stories, find support, and build resilience together,” said Kast. “We want every participant to feel heard, understood, and empowered on their path to recovery.”
The virtual PTSD meetings are built on the principle of confidentiality, ensuring that veterans can speak freely and securely, knowing that anything shared within the meeting stays within the group. These meetings are an opportunity for veterans to engage with others who are walking similar paths and receive valuable resources tailored to their specific needs.Hats Off For Veterans and Wimberly Co...Date and Time
